(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A local female has been arrested after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence on Blanchard’s Road.
On March 14, 2014 a 9-1-1 call sent the police and fire department to a residence in the former Bexley Township in response to a burning storage shed. Initial investigation indicated that the fire had been deliberately set.
As a result of the investigation, a 55 year old female was arrested and charged with three counts of mischief, under $5 000, one count each of arson, fail to comply with undertaking and assault, all contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused appeared at a bail hearing on March 15, 2014.
