(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a tanker truck while standing outside his vehicle in a whiteout condition on Grey Rd. 8 in the Township of Southgate on Saturday, March 15, 2014, has been identified as Diamantino DaSILVA, 55 years old, of Etobicoke, Ontario.
The driver of the tanker truck, a 59 year old male from Port Elgin, as well as the driver of the Honda CRV, a 49 year old male, and a 46 year old female passenger, both of Southgate, were treated and released from hospital.
The investigation continues.
