(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON)- On Wednesday March 19, 2014 at 2:29 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and Fire responded to a two vehicle collision on Longwood’s Road at Cashmere Road, Southwest Middlesex where a truck and vehicle collided on the roadway. Police have confirmed that one female driver has died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision and a second male driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) team have been requested to assist in the investigation. As a result police have closed Longwood’s Road between Sassafras Road and Clachan Road. The roadway is expected to be closed for the next five to six hours as the investigation continues.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance and requesting that motorists take an alternate route in the area to ensure the safety of all emergency personal involved.
