(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Friday March 21, 2014 just before 11:00pm officers were on patrol on South Portage Road in the Township of Lake of Bays. The officers observed a pickup truck traveling at a higher rate of speed than normal and managed to get the vehicle stopped.
The driver Kimberley BENEDETTI (56yrs) of Huntsville was found to have been drinking. He was eventually arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and having more than 80mgs of alcohol per 100mltrs of blood. He was also issued a 90 day driving suspension and had his vehicle impounded for 7 days. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on April 2, 2014 to answer to his charges.
