(KENORA, ON) On Friday March 21, 2014 at approximately 10:45 am, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a male driving a vehicle in a suspicious manner. Police located and stopped the vehicle near the Manitoba border. Further investigation resulted in a search of the vehicle and arrest of the male driver. Police located approximately 4.5 grams of suspected marihuana, and a large amount of Canadian Currency in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, 44 year old Kevin TINKER of British Columbia has been charged with Possession of Cannabis contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code. He has been held in custody and is to appear in Kenora Court on March 26, 2014.
