RESIDENTIAL BREAK IN OPP REMIND THE PUBLIC TO SECURE DOORS AND WINDOWS

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at approximately 1:41 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break in at a residence on Somers Street, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Sometime between 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25th and 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 26th unknown person(s) entered the residence through an insecure door. Although some drawers in the kitchen and in the main bedroom of the house had been rummaged through, nothing appears to have been taken.

Grey County OPP wish to remind the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times. Ensure the doors and windows to your home are secured; and that the blinds or curtains are drawn at night. Also, ensure your vehicles are locked and any valuables are removed from the vehicle or, at least, out of sight.
