FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION EAST OF DRYDEN

(DRYDEN, ON) – The Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 17 just east of Aaron Provincial Park at 07:32am (CST) on March 27, 2014. The collision involved a west bound passenger vehicle and an east bound commercial motor vehicle. The collision resulted in the closure of Highway 17 until 09:05am at which point it was opened to one lane.

The collision resulted in the death of the driver and single occupant of the passenger vehicle, 24-year-old Taylor GARDINER of Dryden, Ontario. The driver and lone occupant of the commercial motor vehicle was not injured.

Members of the Dryden OPP detachment along with the North West Region Highway Safety Division and a Technical Traffic Collision Investigator are continuing the investigation.
