(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment were contacted by a concerned member of the public who advised police of two suspicious males, selling electronics from a vehicle, located at a Queensway East, Simcoe, Ontario, address.
The person advised police that they had been approached on more than one occasion in the Walmart parking lot by two males inquiring if they wanted to purchase a high quality big screen television set at a great price.
Police were contacted and through the course of investigation, two males were subsequently located and were charged under the Norfolk County Bylaw for failing to obtain a peddlers permit.
The Norfolk County OPP are urging the public to extremely cautious when purchasing products. Always purchase your items from a reputable business or local vendor, who will stand behind their products, their reputation and ensure that you get what you pay for.
