(BLANDFORD BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP, ON.). While on general patrol, members of Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a structure fire in progress at Roslin Enterprises located at 686335 Highway #2, Blandford Blenheim township.
At approximately 3:00 a.m. Oxford OPP members responded to assist with the fire along with Blandford Blenheim fire departments at Roslin Enterprises which is a manufacturer of vegetable oil.
As a result of the fire, Highway #2 is closed between Gobles Road and Oxford County Road #22. It is expected that the road will remain closed for an extended period of time to extinguish the fire and to continue with the investigation.
The Blandford Blenheim fire departments are continuing to work to extinguish the fire.
The Fire Marshall’s office and the Ministry of Environment have been notified and will be attending the scene.
The total value of the fire has not yet been determined, but the damage is extensive.
There were no occupants in the building at the time of the fire.
The investigation is ongoing and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
