(PETAWAWA, ON) – On March 29, 2014 the Upper Ottawa Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation into a report of a sexual assault.
On April 1, 2014, investigators charged Derrick GALLAGHER, 31 of Petawawa with 8 counts of Sexual Assault and 2 counts of Voyeurism contrary to the Criminal Code.
Further to this investigation, today, Thursday, April 17, 2014, he has been charged with 18 additional charges related to 10 additional victims. He is further charged with:
Sexual Assault (8 Counts)
Voyeurism (9 Counts)
Assault
He is appearing by video remand in the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke, today.
Investigators, under the direction of OPP Acting Detective Inspector Peter Donnelly, Criminal Investigation Branch are releasing a photograph of the accused and his tattoos for the purposes of identification.
