(Tweed, ON) – On April 22, 2014 at 4:13 a.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a complaint about a person walking into an unlocked residence on Jamieson Street in the Municipality of Tweed. When the homeowner called out acknowledging their presence, the person fled on foot.
Less than fifteen minutes later a resident on St. Joseph Street called police reporting that a person had been banging on her window, then left riding a bicycle headed eastbound on St. Joseph Street. The person is described as being in their late teens to early 20’s, wearing jeans, a black hoody sweatshirt with the hood up.
The OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) members attended and a track was initiated however it was unsuccessful in locating the person.
Members of the OPP Forensic Identification Unit and the Central Hastings Detachment Crime Unit continue to investigate the incident.
