(Ottawa, ON) -The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged a driver of a motor vehicle after a vehicle was travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 417 near Highway 7.
On April 22, 2014, at approximately 11:48 pm, the OPP stopped a vehicle travelling in the wrong direction on Highway 417. The investigation revealed that the driver had been drinking.
The male driver, 46 year old Steven DACEY of Ottawa, was charged with impaired driving, operating a motor vehicle while over 80 mgs of alcohol and dangerous driving and is scheduled to appear in Ottawa court on June 10, 2014.
