(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Response Team (SRT) actively continues to assist uniform members with investigations related to property crimes that occur within Northumberland County.
On Saturday April 26, 2014 Northumberland SRT, with the assistance of Central Hastings OPP, attended a Stirling area property where police recovered three stolen machines that were reported to Northumberland OPP which were taken between October 2013 and February 2014 with an estimated combined value of close to $200,000.
Police have recovered a 2012 Bobcat Skid Loader with sweeper attachment stolen from the Municipality of Brighton on October 7, 2013; a 2007 John Deere TLB110 tractor/loader/backhoe stolen from Alnwick Haldimand Township on March 11, 2014 and a 2009 John Deer 60D excavator stolen from Cramahe Township on February 14, 2014.
Charges have not been laid at this time against any persons relating to this property recovery and OPP continue to investigate these thefts.
