(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County detachment continues to investigate a transport truck rollover at the intersection of Hwy #6 and County Road #55, Haldimand County, ON.
On Monday April 28th, 2014 at approximately 1:10 pm a loaded transport truck was southbound on Hwy #6 when it attempted to turn left onto County Road #55. As the truck made the turn it rolled over spilling its 35 tonne load into the south ditch.
The driver of the transport truck identified as 45 year old Zorislav BOLIBROH of Stoney Creek, ON was not injured and was examined by Haldimand County paramedics as a precaution.
Haldimand County Fire Department also attended the scene to assist with the collision.
County Road #55 was closed for approximately 15 hours to allow for clean-up of the spilled load of petroleum coke (a fuel used in steel production).
