(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On June 28, 2014 at approximately 8:45 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 1933 Chevrolet for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Highway 89 in the Town of Minto.
Police spoke with the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
John MCLAUGHLIN aged 60 of the Town of Minto has been charged with Over 80 MGS contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 28, 2014 to answer to the charges.
