(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – A male driver has been arrested and charged following a traffic stop on Brigham Road south of Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.
On June 26, 2014 at approximately 10:58 p.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol on Longwoods Road when the officer observed a westbound vehicle driving erratically. The vehicle continued southbound on Brigham Road where it was stopped.
Police quickly discovered the driver had been drinking and was impaired. The driver was arrested and brought to the OPP London detachment for further tests. As a result of the investigation, the driver, Daniel PAYNE, age 46 of St. Thomas, ON was charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Having Over 80 mg of Alcohol in 100mL of Blood.
The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom July 24, 2014 to speak to the charges.
