UPDATE: MALE CHARGED IN PELLET GUN INCIDENT Male identified

(ORILLIA, ON) – On June 30, 2014 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were notified of a weapons complaint on Westmount Drive North in the City of Orillia.

Officers attended Westmount Drive North and Arthur Street and spoke with the complainant. He advised that his vehicle had been shot at and that a pellet had broken the windshield and struck him on the side of the head. Further investigation revealed that a house and another vehicle in the area were also shot at by a pellet gun.

There were no injuries.

Orillia OPP have arrested and charged a 22 year old male with weapons related offences.

Matthew ZUKER, 22 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Mischief Under $5000. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in Orillia on August 12, 2014.
