Police have identified the victim killed in yesterday’s collision as Brian J DANIEL, age 55 of St. Thomas, ON.
DANIEL was directing traffic at a construction site on the Highway #3 Bypass and Burwell Road overpass when he was struck and killed by a passing motorist.
As a result of the police investigation police have arrested and charged the driver of the pick-up truck, Benjamin Clayton DICKOUT, age 45 of Malahide Township with;
Dangerous Driving Causing Death contrary to section 249(4) of the Criminal Code.
DICKOUT remains in custody pending a show cause bail hearing to be held this date, July 3, 2014.
