(Napanee, ON)- The Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating an armed robbery that was reported on the 03rd of July 2014 at 8:41 pm at Grays I.D.A Pharmacy located on Dundas St. West in Napanee. The investigation revealed that at approximately 8:30 pm a lone male entered the pharmacy. The male stayed at the back of the store crouched behind a refrigerator and attempted to open a cash register. An employee went to the back of the store and was confronted by the male. The armed male suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs and money from the pharmacy, travelling north on Robert St., in a white Dodge pick-up truck. No one was injured.
The male was described as being approximately 5ft 10 in to 6 ft. tall, medium, build with tanned or light brown skin. He was wearing a red baseball cap, a grey hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and light colored shoes.
The suspect vehicle was located shortly after the incident approximately 1 km north of the pharmacy, abandoned. The vehicle had been stolen from a used car dealership in the area and it had been last seen at approximately 6:00 p.m. on
