Kristian KUNSABO – Drunk Driving

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 6, 2014 at approximately 8:53 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting radar patrol while travelling southbound on Highway 6 at Wellington Road 22 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

At this time and location officers observed a south bound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed approaching the police vehicle from behind. The vehicle continued to follow the cruiser so closely that the officer was unable to see the front bumper in the rear view mirror. Police pulled over to allow the vehicle to pass and a traffic stop was conducted.

Police spoke with the driver determined that he had been drinking. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.

Further investigation revealed that the driver was also in possession of marihuana.

Kristian KUNSABO aged 30 of Kitchener has been charged with Over 80 MGS contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Follow to Closely contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 12, 2014 to answer to the charges.
