(East-Hawkesbury, ON) On July 2nd 2014, Hawkesbury OPP received a complaint about a man that burned a car at a Concession 3 residence. A 1998 Volkswagen Beetle was stored at a farm property for the last 2 years and was completely burnt by a person known by the victim.
The value of the damages are evaluated at approximately $5,200.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Sylvain LEGAULT (49 yrs) of Saint-Lazare, QC.
He was charged with section 434 for Arson – Damage to Property under the Criminal Code of Canada.
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court on July 30th.
