(ALNWICK-HALDIMAND TWP, ON) – Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is pleased to report that the Grafton area cougar was captured last night unharmed in a live trap set by The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR).
The animal was removed from a property on Cranberry Lake Rd by MNR officials and has been taken to an appropriate facility where it will be assessed and a new home found for it.
The OPP would like to thank the public for their assistance in the safe capture of this cougar.
