(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH TOWNSHIP)- Over the July 12/13 weekend, 2014, the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) removed two impaired drivers from continuing to drive on our roadways.
On Saturday July 12 at 6:58pm, a male entered a business at 30 King Street South and was intoxicated, when he got behind the wheel of his vehicle, a concerned citizen called the information in to Police. Nottawasaga OPP located the male driver and conducted an investigation.
Charged is 38 year old, Adam WALLACE of Essa Township, he is charged with:
Care and Control while Impaired, Criminal Code of Canada(CCC)
Care and Control Over 80 mgs, (CCC)
He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 21, 2014.
Then on Sunday July 13 at 8:14pm, Nottawasaga OPP received a traffic complaint about a red Honda weaving all over the roadway, westbound on Victoria Street in the Town of New Tecumseth.
Nottawasaga OPP located the driver who had then parked his vehicle behind an apartment and was trying to sleep, charged is 38 year old Innisfil resident Keith BEATTIE, he is charged with:
Care and Control while Impaired, Criminal Code of Canada(CCC)
Care and Control Over 80 mgs, (CCC)
He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 31, 2014.
