(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On July 13, 2014 at approximately 11:40 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2011 Nissan for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Wellington Road 124 near Trafalgar Road in the Town of Erin.
Upon speaking with the driver police detected the odour of marihuana inside the vehicle. Officers seized a small quantity of marihuana as well as drug paraphernalia.
Simon BRANIGAN aged 20 of Guelph has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 26, 2014 to answer to the charges.
