(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On July 7, 2014 at 9:45 p.m. officers from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a residence on Beckett Avenue in Elliot Lake. Upon arrival police learned that two males in the residence began arguing which led to an altercation between the two and the police being called. When the police completed their investigation one male was arrested and faces criminal charges.
Charged is Michael Albert NEVILLE, 44 years of age from Elliot Lake. He is charged with the following criminal offences:
1) Assault, section 266, Criminal Code
2) Threatening, section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code (2 counts)
3) Failing to comply with a probation order, section 733.1(1)
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
