(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On Sunday, July 13, 2014, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate a report of a sexual assault that had occurred on Southgate Sideroad 49 in the Township of Southgate.
The victim, a 27 year old Midhurst, Ontario woman was assaulted by two unknown males while camping at the Holstein Rodeo campsite on Southgate Sideroad 49. There were no injuries reported.
Police located and arrested one of the two suspects involved in the incident.
John Brenden ARCAND, 23, of Guelph, Ontario has been charged with sexual assault.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, August 21, 2014.
The investigation continues.
