SEVERAL DOMESTIC RELATED INCIDENTS INVESTIGATED OVER THE WEEKEND

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated eight (8) domestic related incidents between Friday, July 18th and Sunday, July 20th, 2014; four (4) of which resulted in charges.

A Township of Georgian Bluffs man was charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm to his common-law spouse. The 47 year old accused turned himself into the Chatsworth Detachment where he was arrested and held for a bail hearing. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 31, 2014.

A Collingwood man was charged with assault, break and enter and, breach of probation after he entered his estranged wife’s residence in Grey Highlands and assaulted her. The 53 year old accused, who had been drinking, was arrested at the scene and held for a bail hearing. His next court appearance is July 28, 2014. The victim was not injured.

A Township of Chatsworth woman was charged with breach of recognizance after police found her inside her ex-common-law’s residence in the Township of Chatsworth. She was to stay away from the residence and not have any contact with the victim. The 42 year old accused was arrested and held for a bail hearing. Her next court appearance is scheduled for July 22, 2014.

A Municipality of Grey Highlands man was charged with domestic mischief after discovering that his wife had been communicating with another man. After damaging some house hold property, the accused proceeded to go to Thornbury where he confronted the male in a parking lot and assaulted him. The 37 year old accused faces additional criminal charges laid by Collingwood OPP who investigated the incident.
