(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Sunday July 27, 2014 at around 12:30am Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) noticed a Dodge Ram pickup stopped and parked on the ramp from Aspdin Road that leads onto Highway #11. The officer noticed the interior light on in the vehicle and stopped to check on the well-being of the driver.
Investigation found that the driver of the pickup truck had been drinking. Robert PETCH a 40 year-old male from Edmonton Alberta was arrested and eventually charged with Impaired Driving and having more than 80mgs of alcohol per 100mltrs of blood under the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on August 13, 2014 to answer to his charges. The accused was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and had his vehicle impounded for 7 days.
