(London, Ontario) – On July 31st, 2014, at approximately 8:00 pm, the London Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Organized Crime Team, with the cooperation of the London Police Service, executed a search warrant at 3021 White Oaks London, ON, ending a one-year investigation into an Illegal card house.
Police seized playing cards, betting slips, score sheets and $1,690 in cash.
The investigation is continuing. Charges are pending.
Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Organized Crime Team consist of members involved in the investigation of Illegal Gambling together with police services from the OPP, London, Ottawa, York, Durham, Windsor, and Hamilton. The Team is responsible for province-wide illegal gambling investigations pertaining to Part VII of the Criminal Code within the Province of Ontario, with an emphasis on Organized Crime.
