(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment investigated a fatal motor vehicle collision at a Bird Road, Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Friday, August 1, 2014 at approximately 7:06 p.m., Haldimand County OPP, Fire Services and Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision.
Investigation has determined that a Pontiac van was travelling northbound on Bird Road when the vehicle left the roadway, entering the east ditch striking a tree.
The driver of the van suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as 58 year old Peter JUKNA of Haldimand County, Ontario.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
