Arrest

At approximately 12:01am on Sunday morning uniform officers responded to a fight at the intersection of Dunlop St. at Bayfield St. As the officers broke up the disturbance one of the combatants threw a punch striking the officer in the face. The 27 year old Barrie male was subdued and arrested for causing a disturbance and assault police. He was taken to the station where he was processed on the charges and held pending a show cause hearing. Alcohol was a major factor in this occurrence.
