(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 1, 2014 at approximately 6:24 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a break and enter in progress to a residence on 17 Side Road, Mapleton Township. A male entered the home and was confronted by the home owner.
The male left the scene in a 2014 Mitsubishi and soon after was involved in a single vehicle collision. He was arrested at the scene and transported to a local Operations Centre.
Ryan OUD age 25 of Cambridge has been charged;
Break and Enter-Criminal Code (C.C.)
Mischief Under $5000-C.C.
Care or Control While Impaired-C.C.
Care or Control Over 80-C.C.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000-C.C.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 29, 2014 to answer to the charges.
