(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Marine Unit responded to an incident at an Ordnance Avenue, Turkey Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Monday, August 4, 2014 at approximately 3:38 p.m., members of the Norfolk County Marine Unit responded to the Turkey Point Marina channel after a male fell off the back of a personal watercraft.
Through investigation, it was determined that a personal watercraft was travelling through the Turkey Point Marina when for unknown reasons the male fell off. The male was wearing a life jacket when he entered the channel however he panicked after losing his glasses and subsequently took in water.
A 21 year old male from Sri Lanka, was transported to a local area hospital for precautionary measures.
