(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Wednesday the 06th of August 2014, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received the report of a sexual assault that occurred in the Bancroft area. Investigation into the incident revealed that a 15 year old female had been sexually assaulted by an adult male.
48 year old Richard Albert BEGIN of Orleans, Ontario was arrested and has been charged with:
Sexual assault on a person under 16 years old
Sexual interference on a person under 16 years old
He has been released from custody on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 23rd of September 2014.
