(MCMURRICH/MONTEITH TWP, ON) On Thursday, August 8, 2014 at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Highway 518 West in the Township of McMurrich/Monteith.
The officer spoke to the driver of the vehicle and subsequently arrested and charged him for having more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code. The driver was also charged with driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
The accused, Dwayne WOOD, 57 of Orillia Ontario was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge, Ontario on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
