(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County detachment has charged a 49 year old male with Drinking and Driving related offences at a Rainham Road, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Thursday August 7th, 2014 at approximately 11:00 pm Police were called to a Rainham Road address for a Fail to Remain collision where a vehicle left the roadway drove through the ditch, across a lawn and back onto the roadway heading east.
While conducting patrols of the area in attempts to locate the suspect vehicle, a black 2007 Ford pickup truck was observed parked in a private parking lot along Rainham Road. While speaking with the driver signs of impairment by alcohol was detected, which resulted in his arrest. While searching the pickup truck a small quantity of material suspected as being marihuana was located and seized.
Charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired, Care and Control with over the legal limit of alcohol and Possession of an Illegal Substance (Marihuana) is 49 year old Anthony SCHNEIDER of Haldimand County, ON. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
