(BRIGHTON, ON) – On August 21, 2014 at 7:00 pm Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of an impaired driver within the park. Officers located the vehicle in the ‘High Bluff’ camping area with the assistance of park wardens.
The driver showed signs of being impaired and was arrested. He was taken to the Brighton OPP detachment for further tests.
As a result of these tests, John WINTER age 69 of Newcastle has been charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and Over 80mg. He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on September 10, 2014.
