Taroslaw CELEP – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On August 26th, 2014 at 7:25 pm, Community Response Unit (CRU) officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting enforcement in the area of Torbram Road and King Street. The officers observed as the driver of a Dodge Sprint van made a wide turn from Torbram Road onto King Street then the vehicle was observed swerving on the roadway. Subsequently, the officers activated their emergency equipment to intercept the vehicle and check on the driver’s sobriety.

Upon speaking with the male driver, the officers detected alcohol on his breath and he displayed other signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested and transported to Detachment for further testing.

Taroslaw CELEP, 44, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Over 80.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on October 9, 2014.
