(CITY OF LONDON, ON) – On September 3, 2014 at approximately 12:49 a.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was in the area of Bonaventure Drive and Dundas Street in the City of London when an officer observed a suspicious vehicle. Once the vehicle was stopped and police interacted with the driver, it was discovered the driver had been drinking.
A roadside breath test was administered and the driver registered a fail. The driver was arrested and brought to the police detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged 21 year old male, Josue BAIRES of London, ON with having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom September 14, 2014 to speak to the charge.
