(Napanee, ON)- On August 31st, 2104 at 3:05 pm, the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian hit by a train at the CNR and CP track crossing located on Deseronto Road, south of old Highway 2.
A 36 year old male from Newfoundland was walking on the train tracks and was struck by a VIA Train that was travelling westbound. He was transported by ambulance to hospital with life threatening injuries. Foul play is not suspected. The investigation is continuing.
