OPP SEEK THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING MALE AND VEHICLE

(TECUMSEH, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Tecumseh are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a male and the van he was driving when he approached a youth in Tecumseh on September 6, 2014 at around 5:00 p.m.

Police would like to speak to this male who approached a youth while riding his bicycle in the area of Brighton Road and Tecumseh Road in Tecumseh.

The male is described as being approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall, medium build with lighter brown skin and East Indian descent and accent. He had a round face with narrow features and a boxy type Marine haircut which was shaved on the sides and longer and squared off on top. He was wearing a dark short sleeve t-shirt and possibly blue jogging pants.

The van is described as a white, full size GMC van with windows on the sides and in the rear. There were side doors behind the drivers’ door as well as in the rear of the van. There were no markings on the van. There appeared to be a rack inside the van which housed tools.

The OPP is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying this male as they would like to speak to him. Anyone with information regarding either the above mentioned male or vehicle is asked to contact the Essex County OPP Crime Unit, Detective Constable Christian Cortese at 519-723-2491.
