(New Tecumseth Township, ON) On the 16th of September 2014 at 1:50 p.m. officers from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a 911- call regarding a sexual assault in the Town of Alliston.
Officers quickly responded, and from their investigation learned a lone female had been approached by a male suspect in front of a residence. He allegedly touched her inappropriately in a sexual manner, while holding a sharp edged weapon. The female pulled away and fled for safety within the residence, and the suspect fled on foot. The female did not sustain any injuries. The weapon was recovered a short distance away from the scene.
The OPP are requesting the assistance of the public in locating the suspect described as:
40-45 year old Caucasian male
Approximately 5’9, 160 lbs
Front teeth are black
Blue eyes, scruffy unkept dirty blond hair
Wearing a faded green ball cap with a loon on it
Light blue jeans
A dirty white t-shirt
Tan canvass jacket with a chocolate brown liner
The suspect was last seen northbound on King Street from Colbeck Crescent in the Town of Alliston. Anyone who may know of the whereabouts of the wanted suspect or who may come into contact with the suspect should not approach him. Instead, contact the police as soon as possible by calling 9-1-1.
During an OPP K-9 track, the local school children who walk home were held back pending the outcome of the suspect apprehension track.
