The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a male youth following a disturbance in Chatham yesterday.
Around 5:00 p.m. the youth started an argument with his grandmother. During the dispute, the youth damaged a computer, phone, wrote obscene language on the wall and poured pop on her. As a neighbour attempted to intervene, the youth threatened her. The youth fled the residence on foot as police were contacted.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. the youth was located and taken into custody. The 13-year-old Chatham youth has been charged with mischief under $5000 x2, assault and uttering threats. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date.
