(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On September 23, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted when a vehicle struck a tree on Princess Street West in Fenelon Falls.
When an officer arrived on scene it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. As a result of the investigation Michael LATCHAM, 47 years of age, of Schomberg was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Care and control of a motor vehicle while ability is impaired, contrary to the Criminal Code
Refusing to provide a sample, contrary to the Criminal Code
Having open liquor in the vehicle, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on October 23, 2014.
