(QUINTE WEST, ON) – Quinte West OPP would like to warn the public about a recent rise in Break and Enters.
Over the last few weeks police have responded to an increased number of rural Break and Enters. The Quinte West OPP would like to remind everyone to ensure that when they leave their homes that ALL of their doors are locked and windows are closed.
If you are going to be away for an extended period of time you should have someone looking after your home by bringing in flyers or mail and cutting the grass or shoveling the driveway. You want to present your home in such a way that is would not appeal to would be thieves either walking or driving on your street.
Neighbours should also be looking out for each other, if they see anything suspicious they should be getting any information that may help police and contact us.
