(TOWN OF ERIN, ON.) – On September 25, 2014 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to Wellington County Road 125, Town of Erin for a reported home invasion.
Suspects, armed with a firearm fled just prior to police arrival. OPP investigators discovered the residence housed an active cannabis grow op. The Wellington County Street Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Investigation Unit, Wellington County Crime Unit and the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit are still investigating the incident but at this time have laid charges against the homeowners in relation to the cannabis grow up. Ha Son PHAM (52) and Rich PHAM (24) of Erin, have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Production of Marijuana. Both males are scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 30, 2014.
The investigation is ongoing into the home invasion and investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information into this incident. Police encourage citizens to report any suspicious persons or vehicle activity in the area immediately.
