(Amaranth,ON)- On September 28,2014 at approximately 11 pm Dufferin OPP were dispatched to a serious collision on Dufferin County Road 10 at Mono- Amaranth Town line
Preliminary investigation reveals a sedan and Sport Utility Vehicle were involved in a collision . Three persons were pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner. Names of deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
OPP Traffic Collision Investigators are on scene. The intersection of Dufferin Rd #10 and Mono-Amaranth Town line will closed for several hours while police completed their investigation.
OPP are now identifying the 3 people who died in this collision. Travis Logan 26 years of age of Alton,Marie Lessard 49 and Steven Ratz (her husband), 57 years both of Amaranth all succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene.
Police investigation so far reveals that southbound Volkswagen travelling on Mono Amaranth Town line driven by Travis Logan failed to stop and collided with the Jeep Liberty which was westbound on Dufferin County #10 driven by Steven Ratz.
