On October 4, 2014 at 11:50 a.m., the Guelph Police Traffic Division responded to a personal injury two car collision at the intersection of Gordon Street and Stone Road West. It is alleged that a Guelph woman operating a Toyota Corolla turned left onto Stone into the path of a Hyundai. A passenger in the Toyota and the driver and passenger of the Hyundai were transported to Guelph General Hospital by Guelph Wellington EMS. Airbags were deployed in both vehicles and damage is estimated at approximately $10,000. The driver of the Toyota was subsequently charged with turn not in safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
