On October 5, 2014 at 2:40 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a disturbance in downtown Guelph. It is alleged that a male struck another male rendering him unconscious. The injured man was taken to the Guelph General hospital suffering from head and facial injuries. His condition deteriorated and he was transported to the Hamilton General hospital where he is being treated for a skull fracture.
A 24-year-old Guelph man has been charged with aggravated assault and breach of undertaking. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on October 6, 2014.
