(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On October 7, 2014, just after 8:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a tractor trailer on Highway 40 near Creek Road.
While officers were speaking with the male driver, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages. A roadside test was completed which resulted in a warn range suspension.
The 54 year old driver from Chatham was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.
Chatham-Kent OPP would like to remind drivers that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. If you consume alcoholic beverages, plan for a safe ride home by using a designated driver, a taxi or public transit to ensure that you and others sharing the road arrive safely.
